Tasting note

瑪歌代表的是一種優雅而有層次的波爾多風格。酒液散發紫羅蘭與黑色漿果的香氣,翻開還有雪松、礫石和一絲松露土壤氣息。入口質地絲滑,酸度帶動果味向前,單寧細緻但有骨架,尾韻礦物感明顯且綿長。酒莊世代專注於單一產區的細微差異,葡萄園多坐落於瑪歌的礫石高地,這裡排水良好、晝夜溫差造就香氣鮮明的果實。釀造上採傳統分地發酵、嚴格篩選果實,於法國橡木桶中熟成以打造優雅又有陳年潛力的結構感。喝年輕的款建議醒一小時左右;搭配烤牛排、野味或奶香濃郁的成熟乳酪尤其合拍。輕鬆一杯也能感受莊園工藝與田地的故事。

Château Margaux is the archetype of Margaux elegance: perfumed, layered and precise. On the nose expect violet perfume, blackcurrant and warm cassis with cedar, crushed stone and subtle truffle notes. The palate is medium–full, satiny and finely textured — bright acidity threads through concentrated dark fruit while well-integrated oak delivers vanilla and spice. Tannins are firm yet polished, carrying a long mineral-tinged finish. Producer notes emphasise the estate’s exceptional terroir and generations of meticulous work; vinification remains traditional with careful plot selection, fermentation in stainless and concrete followed by élevage in French oak barrels. The vines sit on the classic gravelly Margaux plateaus which give the wines their aromatic lift, structure and longevity. Ideal to decant for 60–90 minutes if young; pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, game, aged cheeses and earthy mushroom dishes.

Under the stewardship of Corinne Mentzelopoulos and winemaker Philippe Bascules, the domaine blends generations of traditional vineyard management with modern cellar rigour. Vineyards sit on the gravel plateaus of Margaux, producing wines celebrated for perfume, silkiness and remarkable ageing potential. Fermentation is parcel-driven with élevage in French oak.
