Tasting note
Bright and inviting from the first swirl, this Meursault shows lemon zest, white peach and baked apple followed by toasted hazelnut, gentle vanilla and a touch of honey. The palate is creamy and rounded with a silky mid-palate, balanced by lively acidity and a stony mineral backbone. Oak influence is evident but well-integrated, lending spice and depth rather than dominance. A long, savory finish keeps the wine focused and memorable. Producer notes: crafted by Sophie Noëllat and Arnaud Sirugue, the domaine works small parcels in Meursault with careful yields and attentive cellar work. Winemaking: parcels are picked for optimal ripeness, fermented primarily in barrels and matured on fine lees with periodic bâtonnage to build texture; élevage includes a proportion of new oak but emphasizes balance and terroir expression. Vineyard: parcels from Grands Charrons benefit from classic Côte de Beaune limestone-clay soils and a sun-exposed aspect that brings ripe orchard fruit and underlying minerality. Best enjoyed slightly chilled after a short decant to open aromatics.
