Tasting note: Bright and inviting on the nose with lemon zest, white peach and delicate floral lift, layered over toasted hazelnut and gentle vanilla spice. On the palate it shows a plush, creamy texture with lively acidity that keeps the richness poised; a flinty, saline thread threads through the mid-palate leading to a long, elegant finish. Producer notes: Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur is run by Vincent and François Bitouzet, a family domaine in Meursault known for low-yield, vineyard-focused wines that express site character. The Perrières bottling is one of their flagship parcels — meticulously tended and picked for optimal ripeness. Winemaking notes: Grapes are hand-harvested and pressed gently; fermentation and élevage take place mainly in French oak barrels with a portion of newer wood to add structure, while lees contact and light bâtonnage build creaminess and depth. Malolactic fermentation is typically carried through to round acidity without overwhelming freshness. Vineyard notes: Les Perrières sits on shallow limestone soils with a distinct minerality and good drainage.
