Tasting note: Bright, ripe orchard and white stone fruit—peach and pear—lifting from the glass with delicate floral perfume and a hint of toasted hazelnut. The palate is generously textured and round, showing concentrated mid-palate richness that coats the mouth, underpinned by a fine mineral thread and gentle, well-integrated oak. It finishes balanced and persistent rather than filigreed, offering a comforting, tactile presence. Producer notes: From Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur, a family domaine managed by Vincent and François Bitouzet. Their Meursault Santenots Premier Cru is sourced from carefully tended parcels in the Santenots zone, a site known for producing richly textured white Burgundies with good depth and mineral lift. Winemaking notes: Fermented and aged in oak with a restrained approach so that wood remains almost invisible—used to add structure and creaminess rather than overt toast. Aging emphasizes texture and mid-palate concentration while preserving the fruit’s freshness and the vineyard’s mineral signature.
