The 2019 shows firm, slightly rustic tannins and a mouth-coating, mildly dry finish that lingers with subtle spice. Producer Notes: Made by Vincent et François Bitouzet at Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur, this Pitures premier cru is drawn from the family’s parcels on the Volnay hillside. The domaine focuses on expressing site character and produces wines that balance elegance with muscular structure. Winemaking Notes: Fermentation follows traditional Burgundian practice with careful extraction to preserve perfume while building tannic backbone. The wine is matured in French oak barrels, allowing spice and subtle toast to integrate with the fruit, resulting in a concentrated but refined expression.
