Tasting note
Tasting note: Bright red fruits lead — cherry, raspberry and a touch of red plum — layered with floral lift, forest‑floor earth and subtle spice. On the palate it opens with a silky entry, lively acidity and fine‑grained tannins that give structure without masking saline, mineral and savoury notes. The finish is persistent and elegant. Producer notes: From a respected family domaine in Gevrey‑Chambertin, this Premier Cru expresses site identity: focused, terroir-driven and built for food. Parcels in the Combottes deliver a balance of ripe fruit and savory complexity. Winemaking notes: Hand-harvested fruit is carefully sorted, fermented with gentle extraction to preserve aromatic purity, then matured in French oak barrels with moderate elevage to integrate wood and preserve freshness. Bottled with minimal intervention to showcase the vineyard. Vineyard notes: Combottes sits on mid‑slope soils of limestone and clay with good drainage and cool nights, promoting concentration and tension. Low yields and attentive viticulture produce wines with clarity, mineral bite and aging potential.
