Tasting Note: Bright, concentrated and poised. Aromas open with white stone-fruit and lemon zest, followed by toasted almond, subtle pastry and a mineral graphite streak. On the palate it shows a generous, creamy mid-palate balanced by fresh acidity and a saline, persistent finish—classic Premier Cru depth amplified by high-density planting. Producer Notes: This cuvée is sourced from a small parcel planted at high density behind Chez Edouard. The domaine emphasizes competition among vines to concentrate flavours; the ‘Haute Densite’ name refers to that traditional close planting approach. Winemaking Notes: Fermentation and élevage are handled to preserve freshness while adding textural complexity; barrel ageing builds weight and subtle spice without overwhelming the innate terroir expression. Bottled under cork, the wine is crafted for both near-term pleasure and medium-term cellaring. Vineyard Notes: Vines were planted in 2000 in the specific climate (climat) Derriere Chez Edouard. Soils and aspect deliver tension and minerality, and the high vine density contributes to smaller berries and greater concentration. Cellaring & Drinking Window: Ready to begin rewarding cellaring; recommended drinking window given by the producer is c.2031–2054. Decant briefly (about 45 minutes) if drinking young to reveal aromatics and mid-palate texture.
