Tasting note: Bright, refined red-fruit aromatics lead — ripe cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry framed by dried rose, subtle baking spice and a hint of woodland undergrowth. The palate is elegant and mid-weight: silky, fine-grained tannins support vibrant acidity and concentrated fruit, finishing with a savory mineral persistence and delicate spice. Producer notes: Domaine Jacques Cacheux is a small family-driven domaine in Vosne-Romanée, focused on expressing terroir with low yields, meticulous sorting and careful élevage. Their Aux Brûlées comes from a prized premier-cru parcel, handled with traditional Burgundian attention to detail. Winemaking notes: Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel and neutral vats preserves purity of fruit; élevage in French oak barrels for around 12–18 months with a modest percentage of new oak integrates structure without dominating the terroir. Light racking and gentle filtration keep vibrancy intact. Vineyard notes: The Aux Brûlées parcel sits on well-drained calcareous clay and limestone slopes with southern exposure, producing concentrated, elegant grapes from old vines with low yields.
