Aromas open to stone fruit and ripe peach, layered with lemon zest, toasted almond and a light honeyed note. On the palate it shows a satiny, almost creamy texture balanced by a chalky mineral streak and fresh acidity; spice and vanilla from judicious oak frame the mid-palate and an enduring finish seals the experience. Producer notes: From a small family domaine rooted in Meursault, this parcel-driven wine expresses the Perrières terroir: compact, mineral-laden soils and careful attention in the vineyard. Yields are managed for concentration and grapes are picked at optimal ripeness to preserve freshness. Winemaking notes: Fermentation and élevage take place in oak barrels with a measured proportion of new wood, allowing lees contact and occasional bâtonnage to build texture and complexity. Malolactic fermentation is typically allowed to soften the structural edges; ageing provides the integrated notes of toast and vanilla without overwhelming primary fruit. Vineyard notes: Perrières sits on limestone-rich, well-drained slopes that impart a stony backbone and saline lift. Exposure and thin topsoils favour elegant ripeness and pronounced minerality, resulting in wines with both depth and finesse.
