Pale gold with a hint of green, this Premier Cru opens on refined aromas of lemon zest, white peach, and delicate white flowers, followed by notes of toasted almond and wet stone. On the palate it is precise and focused: bright, racy acidity frames a creamy mid-palate, while saline minerality and subtle toasty oak lend generosity without heaviness. The texture is silky, the mid-weight body well judged, and the finish long, savory and mineral-driven. Producer notes: from a family-run domaine in Puligny, parcels are farmed with attention to soil health and gentle yields to concentrate flavor. Winemaking: hand-harvested fruit is pressed whole, fermented in carefully selected oak barrels with a portion of new wood, and aged on fine lees with periodic stirring to build texture and complexity. Vineyard: Les Folatières sits on stony limestone slopes with good exposure and cool nights, producing wines of energy, precision and minerality.
