Tasting note: Aromas of ripe red cherry and red plum lead, brightened by cranberry lift and delicate floral topnotes. Beneath the fruit sits classic Volnay earthiness — mushroom, forest floor and a mineral vein — followed by warm sweet spice and cedar. The palate is silky with fine-grained tannins, lively acidity and a medium–full body driven by concentrated flavors and a savory, lingering finish. Producer notes: Domaine Nicolas Rossignol is a small, terroir-focused domaine in Volnay with a reputation for elegant, terroir-driven Premier Crus. Their bottlings aim to express site character with careful cellar work and restrained use of new oak. Winemaking notes: Crafted in a traditional Burgundian style, fermentation and gentle extraction preserve aromatic lift and freshness.
