Tasting Note: Bright, elegant and refined, this Volnay Premier Cru opens with lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry threaded with rose petal, wet stone and subtle forest-floor notes. On the palate it shows a ripe core framed by lively acidity, fine-grained silky tannins and a savory, long finish with hints of spice and dried herbs. Alcohol and ripeness give this vintage a slightly fuller body while the Premier Cru site keeps the wine poised and detailed. Producer Notes: Domaine Nicolas Rossignol is a small, family-run domaine in Volnay known for producing expressive, terroir-driven wines from carefully tended parcels. The estate focuses on low yields and attentive vineyard work to capture site specificity and purity. Winemaking Notes: Hand-harvested fruit is vinified with respect for tradition — gentle extraction to preserve aromatic lift and texture. Fermentation takes place in traditional vats and the wine is matured in French oak barrels, a portion of which is lightly toasted new oak, to add structure without masking the fruit. Aging allows the tannins to integrate and the savory nuances to emerge.
