Tasting note
Tasting note: Bright and finely cut, this Premier Cru opens with lemon zest, green apple and white-peach aromas framed by floral lift and a persistent chalky minerality. The palate is medium‑to‑full with a creamy mid-palate, delicate toasted-hazelnut and gentle oak spice, finishing saline and long. Producer notes: From the Pernot-Belicard domaine in Puligny-Montrachet, this cuvée highlights the stony Perrières terroir — soils that lend precision and a cool mineral nerve. The team focuses on terroir expression and balance rather than overt extraction. Winemaking notes: Grapes are carefully harvested and handled to preserve freshness; fermentation and élevage include barrel ageing with attentive lees contact to build texture while keeping acidity vibrant. Vineyard notes: Les Perrières is a Premier Cru site with thin limestone soils and excellent exposure, producing wines known for their stony backbone, finesse and ageing potential. Drinking window: 2023–2031.
Winery
Pernot-Belicard is a family-associated domaine from Puligny-Montrachet, focused on precise, terroir-driven white Burgundy. Their winemaking favours careful vineyard work, gentle handling in the cellar and élevage that balances freshness with textural depth — aiming for clarity of site rather than overtly oaked signatures.
