Tasting note: Bright and precise, this vintage Blanc de Blancs opens with zesty lemon, green apple and white blossom, followed by a clear chalky minerality and a whisper of toasted brioche. The mousse is fine and persistent; the palate is linear, saline and nervy, finishing with a long, mineral-tinged persistence. Producer notes: From a small, terroir-focused house, L'Autentique Extra Brut reflects careful vineyard selection and low-dosage philosophy. Bottled as a vintage cuvée, the style favours freshness and terroir expression over overt oak or heavy manipulation. Winemaking notes: Gentle pressing and slow fermentation, with extended lees ageing to develop subtle autolytic notes of brioche and almond. Low extra brut dosage preserves clarity and bright acidity, while careful ageing on the lees adds texture and complexity without masking the wine's mineral core. Vineyard notes: Fruit is sourced from old, low-yielding parcels on chalky Champagne soils, giving firm mineral structure and crisp acidity. Cool-climate ripeness from the 2015 vintage is balanced by careful canopy work and hand-harvested fruit. Service: Chill to 8–10°C and allow a short breath (about 30 minutes) after opening. Ideal for celebratory pours or as an elegant match to shellfish and lightly smoked dishes.
