2022 Love Over Gold Grenache Mouvèdre Shiraz Hommage Eden
Tasting note: Immediately attractive on the nose with layered dark cherry and ripe red-fruit aromas lifted by cracked black pepper, dried herb and a violet floral thread. The palate is concentrated yet lifted — plush core fruit balanced by bright acidity, fine-grained tannins and a savoury, mineral-tinged finish. Producer notes: From a boutique winemaker in Eden Valley, this wine is a deliberate homage to Rhône-style blends, made in small parcels with fruit selected for freshness and concentration. Winemaking: Hand-harvested fruit, a mix of whole-cluster inclusion and destemmed fermentations, gentle extraction to preserve purity, then aged in seasoned French oak to integrate spice and support without dominating. Vineyard: Sourced from higher-elevation, well-drained parcels in Eden Valley where cool nights and stony soils give pronounced aromatics and focused acidity. This vintage shows both immediate charm and the structure for short- to mid-term bottle age.
