Tasting note

香氣濃郁，黑果類（黑莓、黑櫻桃、熟李）先行，接著冒出黑胡椒與肉桂香，再由些許烘烤橡木帶出香草與可可的溫暖調性。入口飽滿，果味濃實但不沉，爽朗酸度與成熟而有支撐感的單寧互相牽引，口感有層次，尾韻綿長帶香料回味。 酒莊小而專注，愛比金位於伊登谷高地，重視風土表現與精細栽培，採較低產量以換取果實濃度。釀造上偏向手作路線，精選果串人工採收，發酵時控制萃取讓單寧圓潤、保留果香；之後於精選橡木桶熟成，增添香料與結構感。 田間環境在高海拔坡地，晝夜溫差大、土壤排水佳，幫助果實保有清新酸度與集中香氣。整體氣質兼具力量與優雅，很適合與烤肉、熟成起司或慢燉野味搭配。

Deeply aromatic on the nose with concentrated black fruits—blackberry, black cherry and plum—lifted by cracked black pepper, clove spice and a veil of toasty oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and focused: a juicy core of dark fruit balanced by bright acidity and ripe, structured tannins. Layers of dark chocolate, licorice and baking spice build toward a long, spice-tinged finish. Producer notes: Crafted by a boutique Eden Valley project, this bottling showcases high-elevation fruit picked for concentration and freshness. Yields are managed to favour intensity and purity of flavour. Winemaking: Hand-harvested fruit was fermented with careful extraction to preserve fruit character, then matured in selected oak for added spice and structure. Minimal intervention in cellar work keeps the texture clean and the palate direct. Vineyard: Sourced from cooler, higher-altitude sites on Mengler’s Hill and surrounding Eden Valley vineyards, the vines benefit from strong diurnal temperature shifts and well-draining soils that concentrate flavour and maintain natural acidity. Drinking window: 2029–2044.

Love Over Gold is a boutique Barossa/Eden Valley project focused on producing site-expressive, hand-crafted wines. The team works with selected high-elevation vineyards around Mengler’s Hill, managing yields and using gentle cellar techniques to preserve fruit purity and build age-worthy structure.
