品飲筆記:瓶中色澤深邃帶紫光,散發黑色莓果、帶甜感的可可、石墨與熟成皮革香,並伴有細緻的茶葉、丁香與薄荷氣息。口感厚實,果味集中但不笨重,單寧圓潤有黏性,帶奶油般的順滑感;中後段可感到礦質與橡木的粉感,尾韻悠長帶一絲微苦,餘味持久。
酒莊與葡園:出自家族經營的頂級園區,酒莊對葡園分級與果實篩選相當嚴謹。葡萄園坐落於西向的坡地,土壤黏性、含有一條藍色粘土帶,地勢與土質為酒款帶來緊實的結構與礦物感;部分地塊以古老的乾石牆圈定,風土特色明顯。
釀造重點:人工分箱採收入15公斤籃、去梗輕破後以重力入罐,分地塊小批發酵。採用天然野生酵母,發酵溫度控制在25–28°C,發酵21–25天,視需要進行泵皮與緩速換桶。瓶裝前進行乳酸發酵於橡木桶中(約半數新桶),總桶陳約16個月,先於12個月調配後再回桶熟成數月,兼具陳年潛力與飲用即飲的風味表現。
Tasting Note: Deep ruby with purple hues. The nose opens to concentrated dark berries, subtle bramble and blackcurrant, layered with dark chocolate, graphite, dried tea leaf and hints of clove, eucalyptus and vanilla. On the palate it is powerful and focused: rich dark-fruit core, savoury complexity and creamy, velvety tannins that give structure while a chalky oak thread and a slightly bitter, persistent finish linger.
Producer Notes: Massetino was conceived as a second cuvée from Masseto’s strict selection program: parcels recently replanted and set apart by a majestic dry‑stone wall were assessed for personality and balance before being assembled into this bottling. The estate is part of the Frescobaldi family stable, with a commitment to meticulous selection and terroir expression.
Vineyard: Vines sit on a west‑facing hillside with clay‑rich soils cut by a vein of Plio‑Pleistocene blue clay. The site’s geology and aspect lend density, minerality and a distinctive tension to the wines.
Winemaking: Hand‑harvested in small crates, the fruit is destemmed and gently pressed by gravity into concrete tanks. Each parcel was vinified separately with spontaneous wild fermentations at 25–28°C, 21–25 days on skins with daily pump‑overs and selected délestages. Malolactic conversion occurred in barrels (50% new oak). After 12 months barrels were blended and the wine returned to wood for a further 3 months before bottling. Total ageing ~16 months.
