Opus One is the joint venture of Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi, created to pursue uncompromising quality. The estate farms four Oakville parcels—including holdings within the famed To Kalon Vineyard—using hand-harvest and a mix of traditional and researched modern viticulture. Michael Silacci oversees winemaking; this vintage saw 20 days skin contact and 19 months in new French oak.
