Tasting note
Tasting note: Bright ruby with a youthful rim, the nose opens with fresh red cherry, raspberry and plum, edged by violet and a hint of spicy cedar and earth. On the palate it is lively and juicy: high, racy acidity drives red fruit forward, while gentle, rounded tannins give structure and a savory, slightly spicy finish. Producer notes: From a family-run Piedmont estate, this DOCG bottling aims for clarity and freshness while respecting traditional regional character. Winemaking: Grapes are hand-harvested, sorted and fermented to preserve primary fruit; maceration is handled to balance aromatic lift with structure. Brief maturation in large, seasoned oak containers adds subtle roundness without masking the fruit. Vineyard: Sourced from hillside parcels in the Asti/Monferrato zone with calcareous-clay soils and good sun exposure, vineyards are managed to promote healthy yields and bright, clean fruit. Serve slightly cool; decanting for around 30–60 minutes smooths the edges and reveals deeper savory layers.
