酒莊背景:Ares 是 Two Hands 的旗艦之作,每年從巴羅莎最頂級的園塊挑選出最佳果實,追求強烈而純粹的表現。 品飲筆記:酒色深沉,香氣以乾果、李子布丁與蜜餞為主軸,伴隨中文五香的溫暖香料、些許泥土與鮮明的鮮味(微酵母香)。口感飽滿厚實,香料與橡木的層次豐富,單寧呈現細沙般的質地,酸度乾淨提亮整體,使果實感得以延展到悠長的尾韻。 釀造與田間:採取嚴格分級與人工採收,釀造階段以提升結構與複雜度為目標,之後於橡木桶陳年並以軟木塞封瓶。巴羅莎溫暖且晝夜溫差仍有助於累積濃郁風味,葡萄園管理注重產量控制與果實成熟度,讓這款酒兼具力量與細緻度。
Producer notes: Ares is Two Hands' flagship selection — the finest parcels chosen each vintage to express power, intensity and varietal purity. The release celebrates the most perfect expression the winery crafts. Tasting note: Deep garnet to purple in the glass, this wine opens with concentrated dried fruit, plum pudding and mincemeat, layered with Chinese five-spice, savory/earthy notes and a touch of yeast extract. Very full-bodied and densely fruited, spice and oak weave through the palate while medium-to-firm, grainy tannins and crisp acidity support the weighty core. The finish is long and persistent. Winemaking notes: Fruit is hand-selected from premium Barossa parcels, fermented to extract depth and complexity, then matured in oak. The wine is crafted under winemaker Ben Perkins with a traditional cork closure, aiming for structure and long-term ageing potential. Vineyard notes: Sourced from selected low-yield sites across the Barossa Valley, the vineyards benefit from warm days and cool nights that concentrate flavours and build ripe tannin structure. Meticulous viticulture and parcel selection are central to the Ares program.

Ares sits at the top of their flagship range and is intended to showcase the most powerful, concentrated expression from selected Barossa parcels. Ownership and direction come from Michael Twelftree; Ben Perkins is the listed winemaker and Travis Coombe the vineyard manager.
