Tasting note: Deep, ripe dark-fruit aromas — plums and black cherry — freshened by a hint of mint and a savoury, eucalyptus lift. On the palate the wine is plush and velvety, layered with cocoa and dark chocolate, framed by gentle oak spice and rounded tannins. The finish is persistent, leaning toward savoury dark-fruit and baking-spice echoes.
Producer & vineyard: From Two Hands Wines' Harry & Edward's Garden site in Langhorne Creek, this 2007 bottling reflects the region's capacity for concentrated, ripe fruit with balanced savoury character. Under the stewardship of owner Michael Twelftree and vineyard manager Travis Coombe, fruit was selected to showcase site expression.
Winemaking notes: Crafted by winemaker Ben Perkins, the wine was handled to preserve plush texture and ripe fruit character. Fermentation and careful extraction produced a soft, velvety tannin profile; subsequent maturation in oak barrels adds spice, mocha and structure without overpowering the fruit. Drinking window was estimated 2009–2019; decant gently to revive mid-palate lift.
