Tasting Note: Generous and expressive, this wine opens with a cascade of blue and red berry aromas—red currant, cherry and black-fruit notes—lifted by coastal herbs (thyme, sage) and a warm thread of clove and vanilla from oak. The palate is dense and silky: succulent berry fruit balanced by bright acidity, refined tannins and a long, resonant finish. Producer Notes: Tagged as the pick of the bunch from Two Hands’ McLaren Vale sites, this bottling celebrates the region’s maritime proximity—the label’s blue tone nods to the nearby sea. Sand-based soils bring lifted aromatics, softness and roundness. Winemaking Notes: Hand-harvested fruit from multiple McLaren Vale sub-regions was matured in oak to add spice and vanilla lift while preserving primary fruit intensity. Ben Perkins led the winemaking, aiming for a modern, powerful profile suitable for drinking now or cellaring through the early 2030s. Vineyard Notes: Fruit was sourced from Blewitt Springs, Clarendon, McLaren Flat, Seaview, Tatachilla and Willunga Hills at 75–320m altitude. Vine ages range from about 15 to 60 years on predominantly maritime, sand‑based and sedimentary soils with average rainfall around 500–700mm.
