2015 Valdicava Brunello Montalcino Vigna Montosoli DOCG (1500 ml)

This is a commanding expression from Valdicava's Montosoli cru. The 2015 shows intense aromas of black cherry and ripe plum layered with forest floor, cedar, leather and a touch of sweet spice. On the palate it is full-bodied and concentrated, supported by lively acidity and polished, velvety tannins that carry the layered fruit to a very long, persistent finish. Producer notes highlight careful selection from the steep, stony Montosoli slopes and traditional winemaking: extended maceration and aging in large oak followed by bottle rest to build complexity. The vineyard's elevation and calcareous-clay soils give tension and mineral threading to the fruit. Drink now with decanting or cellaring for further integration.

Valdicava is one of Montalcino's most respected names, celebrated for single-vineyard bottlings and a classic, terroir-driven approach. The estate focuses on very low yields, careful vineyard management on steep sites, and restrained, traditional oak ageing that lets purity of fruit and mineral character shine.
