This single-vineyard Brunello from the Montosoli site shows an impressive combination of power and finesse. Aromas of black cherry and plum are layered with walnut, cedar and lavender. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and highly structured: ripe dark fruit at the core, firm chewy tannins and a polished, savory backbone that carries through to a long, resonant finish. Vinified with extended maceration and an extended maturation in large oak casks, the style emphasises purity of fruit, depth and cellar potential. Drink from 2025 and through the next three decades; decant about 90 minutes to reveal layered aromatics and soften the youthful grip. Excellent with grilled and braised red meats, game and rich tomato-based pasta dishes.
