Tasting note

來自班諾克本精選園區,這支酒先以明亮的紅果與黑果香吸引,草本與土壤氣息並存,還帶有一絲烘烤香料與柔和的橡木煙燻味。入口中等酒體,酸度清爽有張力,單寧細緻但不突兀,口感順滑帶點礦感與微微的風乾果實感。釀製上採用部分整串發酵並在法國橡木桶中陳年約11個月(近三成新桶),產量有限,裝瓶以旋塞封口,保留果實純淨與產地個性。建議醒酒約45分鐘,搭配鴨肉、帶香料的燒烤或濃郁亞洲咖哩都非常合拍。

This Bannockburn single-vineyard release shows a vivid core of red and darker berry fruits uplifted by citrus brightness and herbaceous accents. Aromas of fresh strawberries, black cherry and plum mingle with wild thyme, sage and a savoury mushroom note; baking spice and a touch of smoky oak weave through. On the palate it’s medium-bodied with lively acidity, linear yet polished tannins from partial whole-bunch fermentation and 11 months in French oak (c.29% new). The texture is refined, mineral-tinged and carries to a lengthy, spice-laced finish. Bottled under screwcap; limited production gives a focused expression of Bannockburn terroir. Drink now–over the next decade, or decant for about 45 minutes to open the aromatic layers.

Valli Wines, based in Bannockburn, Central Otago, focuses on small-lot, site-driven red wines that express the region’s distinctive soils and climate. Production is limited and attentive: fruit selection from specific vineyard blocks, careful whole-bunch inclusion in fermentation, and élevage in French oak to marry spice and structure with fruit purity. Bottlings often show bright acidity, layered spice and fine tannin, sealed under screwcap to preserve freshness.
