Tasting note

Tasting note: Aromas of toasted oak, espresso and dark berries lead into a taut, full-bodied palate where raspberry jam, roasted coffee bean and clove interplay with polished, close-grained tannins. Bright citrus lift appears on the aftertaste alongside an orange-tinged finish. Producer notes: From the Cannubi cru and overseen by the Borgogno family line now led by Virna, this wine balances tradition with careful cellar attention. Winemaking: Fermentation with extended maceration and attentive extraction yields firm structure; aging includes extended time in seasoned oak and large casks to integrate spice and texture. Vineyard: Sourced from the famed Cannubi hillside with calcareous-clay soils and excellent exposure, grapes are harvested selectively by hand to preserve concentration and elegance. Serve after decanting to allow aromas to open and tannins to soften.
