Sommelier's Note: The 2006 Chateau Lynch-Bages opens with dense blackcurrant and blackberry, edged by cedar, graphite and a cool minty Cabernet signature. On the palate it is full-bodied and muscular: firm ripe tannins, vibrant acidity and a plush, slightly dark-chocolate finish that stretches long. Though developed, it still rewards a 60–120 minute decant to show more perfume and silkier mid-palate.
Winemaking & Vineyard: Hand-picked, gravity-fed fermentation in thermoregulated steel vats, followed by 15 months in French oak (70% new). Planted on classic Garonne gravel, managed by the Cazes family under Jean-Charles Cazes — a textbook Pauillac expression: structured, mineral and cellar-worthy.
