2019 Vega Sicilia Pintia

品飲筆記:色澤深沉,前段豐滿的黑色漿果、黑櫻桃與熟李子香氣,隨之而來的是雪松、菸草與紫羅蘭的細緻香調。口中有甘草與可可的苦甜味,帶一抹地中海香草與鹹感,層次豐富。酒體厚實、口感綿密,單寧結構扎實卻細緻,酸度活潑,尾韻悠長。

酒莊與生產:Pintia 為 Vega Sicilia 家族在 Toro 的年輕代表作,堅持手工採收與精細分選,這款酒強調原生風格與當代詮釋。採葡萄時放入12公斤小箱,入廠後先低溫冷藏約12小時以保留果香;在酒莊進行雙重分選,先剔除採錯的整串,再挑出不良果粒。

釀造重點:葡萄入廠後先做5天冷浸以提取果香與色澤,發酵於橡木大槽並採較溫和的萃取方式,進桶熟成以法、美橡木桶與較大型容器混合(近年約一年左右的桶期),新木運用節制,保留果實飽滿感與結構的平衡。

葡萄園與年分感:來自Toro高原的老藤(平均約三十多歲),2019為偏暖年份,果實成熟度較高但仍保持良好酸度,造就這支濃郁而有骨架、既適合當下享用亦可陳放的酒款。整體風格兼具力量與優雅,特別適合搭配烤肉或風味濃郁的熟成乳酪。


Tasting Note: Deep ruby to the eye, this Pintia opens with an expressive bouquet of ripe black fruits—blackberry, black cherry and baked plum—framed by cedar, tobacco and violet florals. Layers of licorice, dark cocoa and warm spice give complexity, while a saline thread and Mediterranean herb notes add lift. The palate is rich and plush, with firm, fine-grained tannins, lively acidity and a long, resonant finish.

Producer & Winery Notes: Pintia is the Toro project from the Vega Sicilia family, conceived as a youthful and bold reinterpretation of the house’s ethos. Grapes are hand-harvested into 12-kg boxes; once in the winery fruit rests in a cold chamber for about 12 hours to preserve freshness. A rigorous double sorting removes whole bunches and inferior berries.

Winemaking & Maturation: Following a 5-day cold maceration, fermentation takes place in oak wood vats. For the 2019 vintage the winery used an élevage of approximately 12 months, largely in a combination of French and American oak (barriques and larger neutral vessels), with restrained use of new wood to balance fruit and structure. Some releases follow spontaneous/native fermentation practices and benefit from slow extraction to retain freshness and finer tannin grain.

Vineyard & Vintage: Sourced from older, low-yielding vines on the Toro plateau (average vine age around mid-30s), the 2019 season was warm—producing riper, more concentrated fruit while preserving bright acidity. The result is a full-bodied, concentrated wine that remains poised and age-worthy.
