2023 Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot La Vermentino/Roussanne
A bright, approachable white from southern France that balances tropical lift with a clear citrus backbone. Aromas open to ripe pear, white peach and orange blossom, with subtle herbal and almond hints. On the palate the wine sits medium-bodied with a silky mid-palate, lively acidity and a gently honeyed finish that keeps the focus on freshness rather than weight.
Producer notes: Crafted by a small domaine partnership, this bottling aims for pure fruit expression and drinkability. Vineyards benefit from Mediterranean sun and cooling coastal influences that preserve aromatic freshness.
Winemaking notes: Grapes are gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled vessels to preserve primary aromatics. A portion sees brief lees contact to add texture and roundness, while careful elevage keeps the wine balanced and food-friendly.
Vineyard notes: Sourced from well-exposed, low-yield parcels in IGP Pays d'Herault, soils combine rock and clay that give the wine its mineral spine and ripe, sun-kissed fruit. Hand-harvest and selective sorting ensure clean fruit into the cellar.
