【Sommelier's Note】This Anthem parcel shows lifted floral top notes—rose petal and hibiscus—then opens to crunchy red fruits: ripe strawberry, cherry and red currant. Beneath the fruit a savory, sappy thread of forest-floor and dried herbs emerges, with gentle baking spice and a whisper of smoke from subtle oak. Texture is satiny rather than aggressive: bright acidity carries the flavors while refined tannins frame a persistent finish. Best enjoyed after a short decant; will reward cellar time through the late 2020s.

Blank Canvas 由 Matt Thomson 與 Sophie Parker-Thomson 經營,理念很直白:小批量、重現園區風土。Anthem 這支是手採後冷藏運送回酒廠,保留一半整串發酵,先做冷浸再自然發酵,發酵期以手工踩桶(hand-plunge)控制萃取,12 個月法國橡木桶陳年、瓶陳後出貨。酒莊不愛過度加工,追求的是地塊的真實聲音與細緻口感。
Blank Canvas Wines is run by Matt Thomson and Sophie Parker-Thomson. They focus on small-parcel, site-expressive bottlings from Central Otago and surrounding regions. For this Anthem release the fruit was hand-picked, refrigerated overnight, half whole-cluster retained, cold-soaked then allowed to ferment spontaneously with hand plunging. Aged 12 months in French oak and bottle-aged before release. The team aims for precision and terroir clarity rather than heavy winemaking intervention.
