Château d'Issan — a 3ème Grand Cru Classé in Margaux, now owned by Emmanuel Cruse. The estate works its old-vine parcels on gravelly soils over clay, producing wines noted for suppleness, floral perfume and long ageing. Fruit is vinified parcel-by-parcel in temperature-controlled stainless steel with gentle extraction; malolactic fermentation follows and wines age for about 18 months in oak, balancing ripeness with freshness.
