Sommelier's private note: Initially reserved, the wine opens to layers of blackcurrant and dark cherry, punctuated by pencil-lead, cedar and subtle tobacco. Texture is compact and dense yet carries a finesse—tannins are present but polished, acidity keeps the profile fresh, and the finish is persistent with graphite echoes.

Winemaking notes: Meticulous sorting after a challenging 2012 growing season produced concentrated parcels. Matured in French oak (carefully judged élevage) to give structure without dominating the fruit; oak is present but integrated.
