Tasting Note: Deep, concentrated aromas of black cherry, plum and blackberry mingle with cocoa, dark chocolate, cedar and an earthy, truffle-like undertone. Flowers and subtle orange zest lift the bouquet. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and richly textured: ripe core fruit is impeccably framed by fresh acidity and firm, ultra-fine tannins that give structure without heaviness. The finish is long, savory and mineral-tinged. Producer Notes: Château Nénin — in the Delon family tradition and now under the ownership of Christian Moueix — presents this vintage as a classic Pomerol vin de garde: combining power, elegance, purity and precision. The deliberate increase of Cabernet Franc across the holdings brings tautness, aromatic lift and an extra thread of freshness to the blend. Winemaking & Ageing: Grapes were harvested between 13 September and 10 October. The wine was matured for 18 months in oak, producing a concentrated, oaked profile that remains balanced by vibrancy and cool-climate energy. Expect this wine to evolve in bottle over decades; drinking window cited from release runs broadly through 2021–2044. Vineyard: Sourced from Pomerol parcels where clay-rich soils lend density and textural weight while cooler nights preserved bright aromatics. Merlot provides the plush mid-palate density while the Cabernet Franc components add spice, floral lift and tensile structure.
