【Sommelier's Notes】Pour and give an hour: the bouquet opens from tight blackcurrant and graphite to tobacco, spice and a touch of mocha. On the palate it is medium-bodied with concentrated dark fruit, a salty loam undertow and firm yet polished tannins that give chew without harshness. The finish lingers with cocoa, cedar and mineral echoes — classic Médoc composure with approachable silk.

Chateau Phelan Segur is a family-owned estate managed by the Gardinier family. The property covers roughly 70 hectares of vineyards with an average vine age around 35 years. Winemaking blends stainless-steel and 500L barrel fermentations with 14 months of oak maturation, aiming for classic Médoc balance and food-friendly structure. Key personnel include winemaker Alain Coculet and viticulturist Luc Peyronnet.
