Description
A major sleeper of the vintage, the 2003 Potensac is a tribute to just how good this wine can be in top vintages. A blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 23% Cabernet Franc, it was harvested between September 13-25, and came in at 13.9% natural alcohol, which is higher than its more famous sibling, Leoville Las Cases. This elegant, fully mature 2003 exhibits lots of black currant and black cherry fruit intermixed with forest floor and underbrush notes, a plush, medium-bodied palate, and sexy fruit. Enjoy it over the next 4-5 years. Robert Parker
