2013 Domaine Armand Rousseau Pere et Fils Gevrey Chambertin

This 2013 Domaine Armand Rousseau Pere et Fils Gevrey-Chambertin is a classic representation of the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation. The wine is dry with a 13% alcohol content. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, which are grown in the vineyards of Domaine Rousseau. The vineyards are located in the east, benefiting from the bedrock of the Combe Lavaux, which contributes essential minerals to the soil. The significant amount of gravel in the soil allows for excellent drainage, even at the bottom of the slopes. The wine is matured in French oak, adding complexity and depth to its flavor profile. The wine has a fine structure, indicative of Gevrey-Chambertin wines, and is managed by Eric Rousseau and his daughter Cyrielle.
