Tasting note: Bright and finely focused, this 2022 Puligny‑Montrachet 1er Cru Folatières opens with citrus peel, green apple and delicate white florals. A striking mineral thread—wet stone and flint—runs through the palate, balanced by a round, creamy mid‑palate and gentle toasted spice on the finish. Producer notes: From a small, attentive domaine in Puligny, the team pursues precision and terroir expression, harvesting by hand and selecting fruit parcel‑by‑parcel. Winemaking notes: Gentle pressing and careful temperature control in the cellar preserve aromatic lift; a portion spends time in older and lightly toasted barrels to gain texture without overpowering freshness. Vineyard notes: Folatières’ limestone‑rich soils and favorable exposure give wines clarity and a saline minerality. Vines are mature, planted on well‑draining slopes that favour concentration and tension. Drink now to 2035+, best with a short decant to open aromatics.
