Aloxe-Corton from Domaine Follin-Arbelet shows a poised, classic profile: lifted red-fruit aromas of cherry and raspberry framed by savory forest-floor and mineral notes. The palate is medium-bodied with bright acidity and silky yet present tannins, delivering good energy and an enduring finish. Producer notes: a small family domaine led by Franck Follin-Arbelet, focused on expressing the hillside terroir of Aloxe-Corton through careful vineyard work and modest yields. Winemaking notes: traditional Burgundian handling with gentle extraction, fermentation in temperature-controlled vessels and élevage in French oak barrels to lend structure without overwhelming the fruit. Vineyard notes: parcels on limestone-clay slopes with good exposure give freshness, firm mineral backbone and classic Côte de Beaune spice. Best enjoyed after around 45 minutes of decanting to reveal layered aromatics. Pair with roast duck, game birds, mushroom-based dishes or classic charcuterie.
