Tasting note: Concentrated and precise, this Premier Cru from Saint-Aubin opens with citrus blossom, green apple and a core of stone fruit, moving into lemon-curd and toasted-almond accents. Gentle oak seasoning and brioche notes lift the nose while a saline, chalky mineral streak keeps the focus bright. On the palate it displays a creamy mid-palate and lively acidity that frame concentrated flavours and lead to a long, refined finish. Producer notes: The 'Haute Densite' cuvée comes from a small parcel behind Chez Edouard planted at high density — a traditional Burgundian approach (~30,000 vines/ha) intended to promote root competition and concentration. Vines date from 2000 and are farmed to favour balance and low yields. Winemaking notes: Crafted with meticulous cellar work, the wine is vinified with attention to textural detail and ageing to build complexity. Elevage on fine lees and careful barrel handling contribute creaminess and integrated oak spice while preserving the site’s minerality and vivacious acidity. Vineyard notes: A compact Premier Cru site in Saint-Aubin with stony, well-draining soils. High-density planting and rigorous viticulture produce small, concentrated berries that deliver both power and precision — this is built to age, with a recommended drinking window from 2030 to 2060.
