Bright and refined, the 2022 Les Combottes opens with lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry and rose petal, underscored by damp earth and a thread of baking spice. On the palate it shows a silky texture with poised acidity and gently grippy tannins that frame the red-fruit core. Mineral and savory notes build toward a saline, persistent finish. Producer notes: from Domaine Michel Noellat et Fils, a small family-run domaine working its Premier Cru parcels in Chambolle-Musigny with an emphasis on purity and terroir expression. Winemaking: grapes are carefully hand-picked and handled with gentle extraction to preserve aromatics; fermentation in a mix of stainless and neutral wood followed by maturation in French oak (a portion in newer barrels) for around 12–16 months, aiming for balance rather than overt oak.
