2020 Domaine Mongeard Mugneret Richebourg Grand Cru

The 2020 Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Richebourg Grand Cru is a testament to the art of Burgundian winemaking. With a color that ranges from velvety ruby to dark nocturnal red, this wine's visual appeal is as intense as its flavors. On the nose, it presents a complex bouquet of musk, Russian leather, and sandalwood, evolving into scents of hawthorn and peachblossom as it matures. The palate is greeted with an explosion of life, showcasing a rich tapestry of cherries, blackcurrants, and both cooked and preserved fruits. This wine, aged in 100% new oak barrels, demands patience, promising to unfurl its full generosity and warmth over the years. It is a perfect companion to dishes like roasted lamb or duck confit, and will equally complement a mushroom risotto or a selection of aged cheeses.
