Tasting note: Bright, classic Burgundian aromatics open with red cherry, raspberry and a thread of cranberry, then drift toward underbrush, damp earth and a hint of leather and spice. On the palate the wine is medium-plus in weight with lively acidity, fine-grained, silky tannins and concentrated red-fruit flavors framed by discreet, well-integrated oak. The finish is persistent and slightly savory, showing good definition for early drinking and short-term cellaring.
