2015 Domaine Pierre Amiot et Fils Morey St Denis 1er Cru Les Ruchots

The 2015 Domaine Pierre Amiot et Fils Les Ruchots is a testament to the elegance and complexity that Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru can offer. With an expressive bouquet of cherries, raspberries, and spicy notes complemented by floral tones, this wine captivates the senses without any overt wood influence. The palate is greeted with a soft, velvety texture, showcasing top-tier fruit that is both juicy and spicy. The wine's high elegance is matched by a pronounced tannic structure, featuring red currants and cherries with a hint of raspberries. The finish is remarkably long-lasting and elegant. This wine, with its rich yet balanced profile, offers a seductive mouthfeel and fine persistence, making it a slightly more robust offering than usual, though with a touch of austerity that speaks to its high quality.
