Description
The 2016 Bourgogne le Chapitre has a payload of red fruit on the nose: crushed strawberry and raspberry preserve, a real "come out and love me" set of aromatics. The palate is medium-bodied with quite bold tannin. I feel that this is an ambitious Bourgogne Chapitre and why not when you consider that in the 19th century, this was a very highly regarded vineyard. Great length on the finish, maybe a little rustic but who cares—just a thoroughly enjoyable wine that will give several years of drinking pleasure.
