2017 Domaine Testut Chablis Grand Cru Grenouille Blanc

A focused Grand Cru from Grenouille, this 2017 shows a crystalline core of citrus and green apple layered over classic Chablis minerality — wet stone, chalk and a saline thread. On the nose: lemon blossom, crushed shell and subtle toasted almond. The palate is driven by vivid acidity and a fine, almost stony texture, lifted by gentle lees-derived creaminess and a touch of oak spice that rounds the mid-palate without softening the attack. Impressive length with a clean, saline finish that keeps you coming back. Best with rich shellfish, buttery seafood preparations or moderate cheeses.

Winery

Domaine Testut is a focused Chablis producer working small parcels of Grand Cru vineyards with an emphasis on terroir expression. The domaine practices careful vineyard management and low yields to concentrate flavours. In the cellar they favour measured use of oak and extended lees contact to build texture while preserving precise acidity and the site’s characteristic mineral signature.
