On the palate it’s fresh and well balanced: medium-bodied, juicy acidity and fine, pleasantly chewy tannins carry the fruit through a medium-length finish. Producer notes: Le Volte dell’Ornellaia expresses Ornellaia’s philosophy of generosity and structure — an approachable, spontaneous wine for everyday enjoyment yet with clear depth and finesse. Designed to offer pleasure without ceremony, it sits comfortably between immediate drinkability and light ageing potential. Winemaking notes: Crafted under winemaker Olga Fusari, the wine spends around ten months in oak, carefully balanced to add texture and subtle spice without overwhelming primary fruit. Fermentation and élevage are managed to preserve freshness and aromatic lift while building mid-palate weight. Vineyard notes: Sourced from estate vineyards in Tuscany with a Mediterranean influence — warm days, cooling breezes and soils that promote ripe, concentrated fruit with aromatic complexity.
