On the nose you'll find layered aromas of dried orchard fruit, fig and raisin, warmed toffee and dark chocolate, threaded with orange peel and gentle smoke. The palate is full-bodied and muscular yet surprisingly silky—savory, almost meaty Mortlach character framed by oak spice, black pepper and molasses sweetness. The finish is long and warming, leaving a persistent leather-and-spice echo.

Producer notes: Mortlach Distillery, a historic Speyside producer now under Diageo, lent its signature robust spirit to this artist-led series. The L'ÉVOLUTION collection explores how design and cask selection can shape aroma and texture, and 'Become' showcases Mortlach's concentrated, savory profile.
