The 2018 Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux is a powerful yet elegant wine, showcasing a harmonious balance between rich black fruits and vibrant acidity. This second wine of Chateau Margaux is known for its silky texture and long finish, with delicately integrated tannins that provide structure without astringency. The nose reveals complex aromas of nougat, sweet cherry, blackberry, blueberry, and candied orange zest, complemented by fine oak spice. On the palate, it is mineral-driven with subtle herbal spice and chocolatey hints, making it a wine of great depth and aging potential. Crafted by winemaker Philippe Bascules, this wine benefits from the unique terroir of Margaux, where the warm and dry summer of 2018 allowed the grapes to reach optimal ripeness.
