2004 Two Hands Shiraz Ares Barossa

Soul Hook: A flagship Barossa powerhouse — concentrated, layered and built to age.

Why choose it?
1) Hand‑picked flagship parcels -> Exceptionally concentrated fruit and structure for long cellaring.
2) Matured in oak with precision -> Integrated spice and cedar that lifts every sip.
3) Proven pedigree (high critic scores) -> Collectible presence without the trophy price tag.

Sommelier's Private Notes: This is a dense, mature Barossa expression offering black fruit compote, bitter dark chocolate and undercurrents of tobacco and leather. On the palate it’s broad and plush at entry, then tightens with fine, grippy tannins and a bright spine of acidity that keeps the fruit energetic. Layers of spice and cedar emerge with air; the finish is persistent and savory. Best served slightly below room temp after a 60–90 minute decant to let tertiary notes open.

Occasion / Pairing Guide: Weekend roast at home, celebratory red‑meat dinners, or a slow‑cooked braise for friends. In Hong Kong, think a relaxed Sunday roast at home, a backyard-style BBQ, or pairing with a hearty Western-style restaurant set.

Competitive Edge: Offers the intensity and cellaring potential of top-tier Barossa bottles and high critic scores, but at a more accessible market price — great value for collectors and serious drinkers.
