Tasting Note: A mature, concentrated red showing layered aromas of blackberry and plum with peppery spice, dried herbs, leather and cedar. The palate is dense and plush yet savoury, with integrated oak, silky though present tannins and a long, warming finish. Producer Notes: From Two Hands Wines’ Padthaway vineyard designation, this release reflects the house focus on single-site expression and ripe, balanced fruit. Winemaking Notes: Hand-harvested fruit was handled with gentle extraction and extended maturation in a mix of seasoned oak, allowing structure to integrate without overwhelming primary character. Careful cellaring has softened the youthful aggressiveness while preserving spice and depth. Vineyard Notes: Fruit comes from Padthaway sites managed for balance and ripeness, soils lending a fine mineral frame and moderate vigour. The team — led by winemaker Ben Perkins with vineyard oversight by Travis Coombe under owner Michael Twelftree — aim for concentrated ripeness and site clarity.
